With the deployment of 40G and 100G systems in the data center reliable and efficient fiber installations are critical to the high performance network. Dirt, dust and other contaminants are the enemies of high-speed data transmission over optical fiber. Hence, it is critical that all optical connections are free of contaminants to avoid having application performance issue. Ideally, a properly maintained and cleaned fiber optic cable will help reduce contaminant transfer to a removable or non-removable optical interface, lessening or removing the need to clean expensive and delicate gear. With one-click cleaner you can clean optical connectors even if they are installed in racks, boxes and other sub-rack terminations, allowing you to remove all dust and dirt that could affect the perfect data transmission of the optic network. One-Click Cleaner Overview
The one-click cleaner is an easy-to-use option for cleaning connectors on jumpers and in adapters. Simply insert the one-click cleaner into an adapter and push until an audible “click” is heard. The one-click cleaner uses the mechanical push action to advance an optical grade cleaning tape while the cleaning tip is rotated to ensure the fiber end-face is effectively, but gently cleaned. There are three types of one-click cleaners, depending on the need and the type of fiber connectors, a 1.25mm one-click cleaner for LC/MU type fibers, a 2.5mm one-click cleaner for SC/ST/FC type fibers and an MPO/MTP one-click cleaner for MPO/MTP type fibers.

1.25mm LC/MU One-Click Cleaner User Guide
1.25mm one-click cleaner is an easy-to-use option for cleaning MU and LC connectors in adapters and exposed 1.25mm ferrules. Each In-Adapter Cleaner delivers up to 800 cleanings to remove a variety of contaminates including dusts and oils.
Cleaning Connectors Installed In Adapters (Bulkhead Applications)
1. Remove the guide cap and cover from the cleaner tip.
2. Insert cleaner tip into adapter.
3. Push the cleaner body to start cleaning the connector end face until you hear an audible “click” sound indicating the cleaning process is complete.
Cleaning Connectors Not Installed In Adapters
1. Open the Cover of the Guide Cap.
2. Insert Cleaner Tip into connector.
3. Push the cleaner body to start cleaning the connector end face until you hear an audible “click” sound indicating the cleaning process is complete.
2.5mm SC/ST/FC One-Click Cleaner User Guide
2.5mm one-click cleaner is an easy-to-use option for cleaning SC, ST and FC connectors in adapters and exposed 2.5mm ferrules. Each In-Adapter Cleaner delivers up to 800 cleanings to remove a variety of contaminates including dusts and oils.
NOTE:
Drawing shows SC connector, but the product may also be used to clean ST and FC connectors. Do not tilt, angle, or slant the cleaner while inserting the tip into the adapter. Do not use excessive force during insertion as this may damage the connector and/or cleaner. If resistance is experienced while pushing the cleaner body toward the adapter, remove the cleaner tip from the adapter and inspect for contamination on the tip and in the adapter.
MPO/MTP One-Click Cleaner User Guide
MPO/MPT one-click cleaner is designed to clean MPO and MTP multi-fiber connectors used in data centers and other high density optical networks, which simplifies cleaning of the ferrule end-face of both MPO/MTP exposed connectors and connectors in adapters. As with all one-click cleaner, the MPO/MPT one-click cleaner uses the innovative push-to-clean design. The mechanical push action advances the optical grade cleaning tape while effectively and gently cleaning the end-face of the connector.
Cleaning Connectors Installed In Adapters (Bulkhead Applications)
1. Pull off the guide cap.
2. Insert the cleaning tool into the bulkhead and turn the cleaning wheel backwards until “click” 2 times.
Cleaning Connectors Not Installed In Adapters
3. Carefully pull out the guide cap cover.
4. Insert the patch cord into the cleaning tool, apply slight pressure and turn the cleaning wheel backwards until “click” 2 times.
